A student council is a activity for students.  Student councils serve to engage students in learning about democracy and leadership. We're lucky to have Ms. Marley as our advisor and activities director.

The mission of the PAL® Peer Assistance and Leadership program is to enable young people to use their potential to make a difference in their lives, schools and communities.

 

PAL® courses use the potential of youth to make a difference in their lives, schools and communities. PAL® recognizes an innate capacity for social understanding, personal well-being, and community participation within every student. PAL® nurtures and builds capacities to help youth increase resiliency and build protective factors to help them achieve school and social successes which lead to a productive life. We're lucky to have Ms. Parker as our PAL advisor.

Library Policies

  • You may come to the library anytime during library hours with the permission of your teacher.
  • The library is open during lunch and recess to return or check out books, read or do school work. It is also open after school on Thursdays.  
  • You may renew books as many times as you need to, unless there are other students waiting for them.  Bring your books to the library to renew. 
  • Your school ID is your LIBRARY CARD.  
  • Lost/destroyed books must be replaced or paid for. There are no late fees!
  • Please consume food and drinks outside.

We now have e-books available to check out. Simply go the www.gofollett.com and follow directions to Talbert Middle School.

  • Students: log in using your school e-mail address as your user name (ex Smith1@myfvsd.us)
  • Your password is your school ID number with two zeros after it.

Attention:  If you are in need of a quiet place to do homework, or need help with ELA, History, Science, or Math homework,  have we got the place for you!  Come to homework help, Monday-Wednesday.   Homework help will run from 2:55 - 3:55 and you will need to stay the entire time unless your mom, dad, or guardian comes to sign you out.  We hope to see you there!

Washington D.C., Gettysburg, PA Spring Break Trip 2024

 

 

If you are interested in learning more about our Spring Break trip in 2024 to Washington DC and Gettysburg, PA and have not yet signed up, there will be a parent meeting on in September.  The trip is open to current 7th and 8th grade students. We go on the trip every 2 years and the upcoming spring break is the only opportunity 7th and 8th graders will have to attend this amazing trip!  You can sign up at worldstrides.com/signup using trip ID #195098.
